How unbelieeeeeevably sexy is this car? These are the first official pictures of the concept Citroen Metropolis. Just makes you want to drive it down the aisle and say 'I do.'
If you’ve been keeping your eye on the Citroen concepts that have popped up at various motor shows over the past couple of years, you’ll know just how exquisite and beautiful most of them are. And the Metropolis is definitely no exception. We’ve already seen the sleek GT coupe, the aerodynamic C-Mettise, the Hypnos SUV, the GQ coupe, Survolt and DS high Rider. and now Citroen leave us breathless – and panting – at the sight of the Metropolis due to debut in Shanghai next month. This is 21st century luxury transportation personified. Forget your astronomically-priced and staid old Maybach and Rolls Royce, even Bentley struggles to hold a candle to the dynamic lines of this french belle.
There is such subtle aggression in the taut sinewous lines of this beauty. There are elements of US muscle car at the derriere but they are executed with a far more mature brush stroke. there is almost a morphing process in the front to rear design with animalistic design references such as the gill-type layering of the front grille and intake behind the front wheel, the predatory eyes of the headlight clusters, canine definition of the snout evolving into sharper, more mechanical, almost Geiger-esque contours at the rear.
Although no plans have yet to be announced to bring the Metropolis into production – how foolish would PSA Peugeot Citroen have to be, not to?! – the concept is wrapped around a 460bhp hybrid powertrain which in itself hints at much intrigue.
We can’t wait to see what else the French design masters will bring to Paris in October. And we make no apologies for bringing you so many images of this car – even the arty black and white ones.
Absolutly gorgous! Amazing!
this will sign the renewal of an an old tradition of french car maker Cotroen as the best in innovation and technology
again absolutly fabulous…………………….
